Measuring Tools
These groove measuring attachments are design to clamp to electronic caliper jaws to provide a shape and reach for measuring seal and snap ring grooves of many sizes, depths and widths. The 1TI026A and 1TI028A attachments can be used for measuring OD grooves .125” / 3.2mm wide and wider. We use these with Mitutoyo IP68 electronic caliper in our shop so you can set 0 and then measure with a micrometer to get the actual diameter. You will have to develop a feel and rock the tip in the groove to be able to measure ±.001” / .025mm accuracy.
